HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10162012 - C.40RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. 5010 authorizing new revenue in the amount of $362,032 from the County's Local Revenue Fund (State of California AB109 Public Safety Realignment) and appropriating it to the Probation Department for expenditure on two additional Deputy Probation Officer positions. FISCAL IMPACT: The County's Community Corrections Partnership (CCP) has approved the use of FY2012/13 Criminal Justice Realignment Allocation to fund two additional Deputy Probation Officer positions in the Probation Department. The costs include salary & benefit costs ($270,746), annual operating costs ($6,408) and one-time expense ($48,878) which includes the purchase of one vehicle plus personal equipment (radio, vest, handcuffs, badge, computer and cell phone) for each officer. BACKGROUND: The Board of Supervisors approved Contra Costa County Community Corrections Partnership Committee (CCP) on October 4, 2011. The CCP develops each years spending plan for the public safety realignment funds received. The CCP has approved funding for two additional Deputy Probation Officers in the Probation Department.
