HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10162012 - C.10RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the Countywide Arterial Microsurfacing project contingency fund increase of $250,000 for a new contingency fund total of $448,411.10, and a new payment limit of $2,432,522.06, effective October 16, 2012, Countywide. Project No. 0662-6R4066, Federal Project No. STPL-5928(106) FISCAL IMPACT: The $250,000 increase in contingency funds will be funded by 88.8% Federal CMA Block Grant – Local Streets and Roads Shortfall Program funds and 11.2% Measure J-RTS funds. BACKGROUND: The requested contingency fund increase of $250,000 will be used to compensate the Contractor for additional materials needed to complete the project. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The lack of approval would prevent successful completion of this contract and preclude payment to the contractor for compensation due to them for completing required work.
