HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09252012 - SD.3RECOMMENDATION(S):
Adopt Resolution No. 2012/426 regarding the 2012 Contra Costa County Combined Charities Campaign.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No Fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa County employees have a long and generous history of supporting the Combined Charties Campaign.
The current national recession has left many of our own family members, neighbors, and friends needing help to
survivive, let alone thrive. Others even less fortunate are in dire straits. We all must join to help the most vulnerable
among us.
This year we are hoping to reach more first time donors and overall increase the amount of donations received from
prior years. In the spirit of "Helping the Community", we encourage the employees of Contra Costa County to
respond to the Campaign's request for a donation.
We are grateful to those who donate generously; however, every penny counts. Small donations from many people
add up to making a big difference!
