APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. 5007 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount
of $11,928 from the Traffic Safety Fund (0368) to CSA P-2 Zone A (7653) for the purchase of one non-ISF police
patrol for use in the Blackhawk area.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action increases appropriations in P2a Blackhawk and reduces appropriations in Blackhawk Traffic Safety Fund
(3682) by $11,928.
BACKGROUND:
The Office of the Sheriff, P-2a Zone, is in need of replacing one 2000 Ford Crown Victoria that has exceeded its
useful life and is fully depreciated. The replacement will be purchased using the accumulated depreciation of $20,824
and estimated salvage of $1,000. $11,928 will be funded through the Traffic Safety Fund.
The Traffic Safety fund was established to be used for the deposit of all monies received as a result of arrests for
vehicle code misdemeanor violations by a Law Enforcement Agency. Expenditures made from this fund shall be
made only for traffic-control devices and the maintenance thereof,

improvement or construction of public streets, bridges and culverts.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Sheriff's Office will be unable to purchase a replacement vehicle as described without identifying another
source of revenue.
