APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Public Works Department, to execute a
Purchase Order with Coast Counties Truck & Equipment Co., in an amount not to exceed $180,000, for the purchase
of a 2012 Peterbilt Model 365 Conventional Cab for Public Works Road Maintenance, Countywide (100% Local
Road Funds) (Project No. 0672-6U2008)
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funded 100% by Local Road Funds.
BACKGROUND:
This single ten-wheel dump truck is replacing two bobtail dump trucks that were part of the Public Works Road
Maintenance Fleet which do not meet current California Air Resources Board regulations.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Negative action would result in the inability to pick up and deliver materials to various job sites; and, the inability to
haul slide material.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
