MODIFY the composition of the County Service Area P-2B Citizens Advisory Committee by adding two seats (1st
Alternate and 2nd Alternate) each with a two year term and an expiration date of December 31st, as recommended by
Supervisor Andersen.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Established on November 18, 1969, by Board Resolution 69/765, the purpose of the County Service Area P-2B
Citizens Advisory Committee is to advise the Board of Supervisors and the Sheriff's Department on the needs of the
Alamo community for extended police services which shall include, but not be limited to, enforcement of the State
Vehicle Code, crime prevention, and litter control.
The County Service Area P-2B Citizens Advisory Committee is comprised of nine members who each serve a two
year term. The County Service Area P-2B Citizens Advisory Committee has requested two additional seats be added
as Alternate Seats to ensure they can achieve a quorum and to avoid the cancellation of meetings.
