HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09112012 - C.81RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #22-852-10 with Greater Richmond Inter-Faith Program, a non-profit corporation, effective July 1, 2012, to amend Contract #22-852-9, to increase the payment limit by $35,000, from $141,596 to a new payment limit of $176,596, with no change in the original term of September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 52% by Federally Qualified Health Centers, 35% US Department of Health and Human Services Teenage Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) grant and 13% County Communication, Education and Information (CEI) funds. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing direct consultation, technical assistance and implementation of health education activities at various high schools. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-852-10 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services through August 31, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, direct consultation to school-based health center programs will not be provided to coordinate health education activities at various high schools throughout Contra Costa County.
