ADOPT Resolution No. 2012/392 designating the week of September 17, 2012 as “Hand Washing Awareness
Week/International Clean Hands Week.”
BACKGROUND:
September 17-21, 2012 is International Clean Hands Week. This resolution recognizes that hand washing is the single
most important act you can do to prevent getting sick and making others sick. Hand washing is important for food
safety, disease prevention, and personal health.
