Settlement amounts are listed below.
BACKGROUND:
One agreement to settle pending litigation, as defined in Government Code section 54956.9, became final during the
period of August 1, 2012 through August 31, 2012.
Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District v. Camara, et al., CCC Sup. Ct. Case No.
C10-02595. This was an action to acquire certain property by eminent domain in the Antioch area for the District’s
Sand Creek Detention Basin Project. It was agreed that the defendants would convey all necessary property interests
to the County for $461,000, inclusive of statutory interest and costs. The Board of Supervisors, in its capacity as the
District’s Board of Directors, authorized settlement on July 24, 2012, in closed session by a 3-0 vote. Judgment
pursuant to the parties’ stipulation was entered on August 6, 2012. The settlement amount will be paid with Drainage
Area 130 (Marsh Creek Watershed)
