HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08212012 - SD.5RECOMMENDATION(S): Accept report from the County Administrator regarding which elected officials have not signed a voluntary wage decrease. FISCAL IMPACT: None. This report is for informational purposes only. BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, September 13, 2011, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Local 21 MOU and four companion items to that action. The companion items included a General Wage decrease and modifications to the Management Resolution, Fire Management Resolution, and IHSS Management Resolution. The General Wage decrease item included a request that Elected Officials voluntarily take the same reduction in salary as that of County Unrepresented Management (2.75% as of October 1, 2011). The motion for adoption included direction for the County Administrator to report back to the Board letting them know who does not sign the voluntary waiver. Waivers were not received from the Assessor nor the District Attorney. The original waivers expired as of June 30, 2012. Because the General Wage decreases were still in effect for the majority of County employees, Elected Officials were asked to sign new waivers. The following elected officials signed new waivers for the period of July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013: APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 08/21/2012 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Candace Andersen, District II Supervisor Mary N.
