APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Risk Manager to execute a contract with TCS Risk Management Services to
administer a county-wide ergonomic program effective July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013 in an amount not to
exceed $164,000.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Costs for preventative evaluations and equipment will be charged directly to the Departments. Costs for
administration of the ergonomic program will be charged to departments through the Workers’ Compensation
Internal Service Fund.
BACKGROUND:
The County has been implementing a cost savings ergonomic program since 2005 to prevent and reduce ergonomic
injuries and disabilities.
TCS Risk Management Services include review and administration of ergonomic programs, ergonomic evaluations
for each employee, installation of equipment to fit the employee, discount pricing for equipment, strict inventory
controls, training and coordination with departments, and timely delivery of ergonomic evaluations and equipment
which prevent or reduce the level

needs and satisfy current regulations.
