Subject:APPROVE Notice of Intention to Convey Real Property to the State of California, Pittsburg area.
BACKGROUND:
On October 27, 1998, the Board approved an Agreement (Contract No.86) to provide right of way services by
County staff to Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) for the State Route 4 East/Bailey to Railroad
Avenue project. CCTA required a variety of right of way services but had no right of way staff and contracted
with the County for these services. Contract No.86 is on file at the Public Works Department.
County Staff has acquired all the necessary right of way in the County’s name for the widening of State Route 4
East/Bailey to Railroad Avenue project and CCTA has requested that the County convey the right of way to the
State pursuant to Contract No.86.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
County would continue to own property within the State Highway 4 right of way and would not be in compliance
with Contract 86 as amended.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not Applicable.
