REFER to the Internal Operations Committee for discussion and evaluation the following:
1. Resetting, where legally authorized, the terms of existing appointees to various boards, committees and
commissions
2. For District appointments only, reset the term of all seats to match the term of office of the District Supervisor
responsible for making such appointments
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
Over the last two years, an effort has been made to reconcile the List; however, discrepancies still remain between
information maintained by the Clerk of the Board, appointive body staff, and District Supervisor staff. Last year, the

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
County policy governing appointments to various boards, committees and commissions. This referral will allow the
Committee to discuss whether or not further action should be taken to address issues with the Local Appointments
List and the potential implementation of a simplified process for appointments by District offices.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
This issue will not be referred to the Internal Operations Committee.
