ADOPT Resolution No. 2012/345 accepting as complete the contracted work performed by W.A. Thomas Co., Inc.,
for the Residential Facility for the Homeless at 4639 Pacheco Blvd., Martinez, for the Health Services Department, as
recommended by the Director of Public Works.
DIRECT the Clerk of the Board or designee to file a copy of Resolution No. 2012/345 in the County Recorder’s
Office within ten days of Board adoption.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact resulting from the adoption of the Resolution of Acceptance and Notice of Completion.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
W.A. Thomas Co., Inc., for the Residential Facility for the Homeless project at 4639 Pacheco Blvd., Martinez.
The project has been completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and it is recommended
that the Board adopt a Resolution of Acceptance and Notice of Completion (Resolution No. 2012/345) accepting
the project as complete. The project acceptance is subject to withholding of $15,000, in addition to contract
retention, to ensure completion of project closeout items.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Accepting the project as complete is standard procedure and allows for proper closeout of the project. If the
Resolution is not adopted, the project will not be formally accepted and the time for submitting claims on the
project may be extended.
