Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#24-950-43(12) with Psychotherapy Institute for Individual, Family and Community Development, Inc., in an
amount not to exceed $165,000, to provide Medi-Cal specialty mental health services, for the period from July 1,
2012 through June 30, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Medi-Cal Funds offset 50% State and 50% Federal. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On June 22, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24-950-43(10) [as amended by Contract
Amendment Agreement #24-950-43(11)] with Psychotherapy Institute for Individual, Family and Community
Development, Inc., for the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2012, to provide Medi-Cal specialty mental
health services. Approval of Contract #24-950-43(12) will allow the Contractor to continue to provide Medi-Cal
specialty mental health services through June 30, 2014.

If this contract is not approved, services provided to Contra Costa Mental Health Plan Medi-Cal beneficiaries could

geographical locations of service providers and waiting lists.
