Dept. of Educ. Facilities Renovation agreement amendment #2 BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) of Education of one-time funding available to the County for Child Development program facility renovations and repairs. The State has awarded $249,000 to be used during the budget period of July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013 for facility renovations. On June 28, 2011 the Board approved an amendment to accepts budget line item swap between the installation of heating/cooling systems at two childcare centers. The cost for one center went down by $50,000 while the cost of the system installation at another center was increased by $50,000. This amendment seeks to adjust the line items due to increased HVAC system costs. The aggregate sum of this contract remains unchanged.. Approval of this agreement will allow the Department to complete facility renovations at various County operated facilities. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If not approved, funds will not be encumbered to complete facility repair projects.
