Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21140 to add two Mental Health Clinical Specialist positions (VQSB) at
salary level QT2 1384 ($4333.51 - 6433.13) in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $253,228, including pension costs of
$54,810, and will be fully funded by Mental Health Services Act monies.
BACKGROUND:
These positions will be assigned to the "supporting families experiencing the juvenile justice system" program which
provides individual and family support to help youth become healthy, law abiding members of their communities.
This program will focus on early screening of youth identified as needing mental health support as well as better
coordinator of care and appropriate linkages to services and supports as youth transition back into the community.
These positions will be responsible for providing direct short term therapy as well as facilitating the transition of
youth into community based organizations and the County mental health system.
