HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08142012 - C.39RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21136 to add one Administrative Analyst position (APWA) at salary level ZB5 1277 ($3679.40 - 4472.33) and add one Information Systems Assistant II position (LTVH) at salary level 3R5 1005 ($2810.70 - 3416.42) in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $166,445, including pension costs of $33,606, and will be fully funded by the elimination of two temporary positions and health plan member premiums. BACKGROUND: These two positions are needed in the Health Plan to perform job duties related to the new ccLink program, the County's electronic medical records system. The Information Systems Assistant II position will be assigned to the Performance Measurement Unit and will be producing reports from ccLink to meet contractual and regulative requirments for the various units of the Health Plan. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Unit and will be responsing for providing ccLink training to all new Health Plan staff as well as developing additional training modules for the optimization phase of ccLink. Currently, the Health Plan has temporary employees performing these duties. Because the need for the job duties will be ongoing, permanent positions are being requested. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this item is not approved, the health plan will not have the staff needed to appropriately support cclink, the electronic medical records system.
