DECLARE vacant the Adolescent/School-Age Population seat on the Public & Environmental Health Advisory
Board, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the Health Services Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact from the recommended action.
BACKGROUND:
The Public and Environmental Health Advisory Board (PEHAB) consists of nineteen members appointed by the
Board of Supervisors. A recent audit of the seat on PEHAB identified two seats which were listed as being vacant but
for which the Board of Supervisors had not acted to vacate.
The seat is currently held by Theresa Garcia. Ms. Garcia has notified the PEHAB staff of her resignation in order to
continue her education at Sant Diego State University.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
PEHAB will be unable to fill vacant seats and may not be able to maintain a quorum.
