HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07242012 - C.84RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Interim Director, or designee, to issue Request for Proposal #1130 for an Automated Appointment Scheduling System in an amount not to exceed $800,000 for the period January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: Not to exceed $800,000; 10% County, 45% State, 45% federal. BACKGROUND: The Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) is requesting authorization to release RFP #1130 to acquire an automated appointment scheduling system. Implementation of the system will facilitate EHSD's compliance with welfare regulations including timely application processing, improve customer service, provide more efficient management of the appointment scheduling function, and complete a key component of EHSD's comprehensive business model. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without authorization to release RFP #1130, the Employment and Human Services Department will be unable to participate in the open bid process to secure a contractor for development and implementation of an automated appointment scheduling system. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
