HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07242012 - C.76RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee to execute a contract with Walker's Auto Body, in an amount not to exceed $200,000 for automotive body damage repair services, paint and related mechanical repair work, for the period June 1, 2012 through May 30, 2015. (Fleet ISF Fund and user departments) FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of collision repair and automotive body repair is included in the Fleet ISF budget. BACKGROUND: Fleet Management maintains all county vehicles, and part of this maintenance is vehicle accident repair and painting. Painting is also required in cases where the vehicle color changes, such as the Sheriff’s project which is changing the color of vehicles from white cars to black and white. Originally bid as Bidsync #1005-002, Walker's Auto Body is our secondary auto body repair shop awarded this type of work. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this request is not approved, vehicles needing collision and automotive body repair will not be repaired. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: None
