HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07242012 - C.61RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-671-3 with Precyse Solutions, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $490,000 to provide temporary medical coding and tumor registrar services for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No increase in the rates). BACKGROUND: On June 28, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-671-1 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-671-2) with Precyse Solutions, LLC, to provide temporary medical coding services for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers including, but not limited to coding of approximately 13,000 inpatient discharges, scanning records and entry of codes into the County’s software system, and tumor registrar services, for the period from APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 07/24/2012 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:Mary N. Approval of Contract #26-671-3 will allow the Contractor to continue providing coding services, including tumor registrar services, through May 31, 2013. This Contract includes modifications to the Standard General Conditions, Paragraph 5 (Cancellation), Paragraph 2 (Disputes), Paragraph 18 (Indemnification), and Paragraph 19 (Insurance). CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County will not be able to scan inpatient records nor code discharges for patients at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center under this Contract. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
