HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07242012 - C.59RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-350-12 with Merritt, Hawkins and Associates, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $300,000, to provide recruitment of family practice physicians at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers, for the period from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. No rate increase. BACKGROUND: On August 16, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-350-10 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-350-11) with Merritt, Hawkins and Associates, to provide recruitment of family practice physicians for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers due to on-going vacancies, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers will continue to have a shortage of Family Practice Physicians available to provide services to patients.
