Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution #21122 to add one full time and one 20/40 Mental Health Employment
Placement Specialist (VQSG) positions at salary level QT5 1261 ($3723.97 - $4526.52) in the Health Services
Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $139,472, including pension costs of
$28,924, and will be fully funded with monies from the Mental Health Services Act.
BACKGROUND:
These positions will be assigned to the Intensive Early Psychosis Intervention Program , a program that will focus on
both the early onset of psychosis and those at high risk for the onset of psychosis. Adolescents and young adults
between the ages of 12 and 24 will be targed for participation in this program. These positions will provide vocational
support to clients of this program. Duties will include: Identifying and securing job openings for clinets; Participating
in outreach and recruitment activities; and advising clients on vocational issues and barriers to employment.
