HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07242012 - C.35RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution #21121 to add one permanent intermittent Environmental Health Specialist I position (VLWA) at salary level QT5 1632 ($5377.00 - 6535.78) in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $128,425, including pension costs of $27,842, and will be funded by inspection fees and a reduction in overtime costs. BACKGROUND: This new position will be located in the Environnmental Health Division and is needed to conduct routine inspections in vacant districts, conduct after hour inspections such as temporary food events and restaurant reopenings, and assist with special projects as needed. A permanent intermittent position will provide the division with the flexibility to deal with the after hour work load that will vary from week to week while at the same time reducing overtime costs currently paid to permanent full-time staff.
