Subject:11780 San Pablo Avenue, Suite D, El Cerrito – Lease Amendment for the District I Supervisor
FISCAL IMPACT: (CONT'D)
will obligate the County to pay a total rent of approximately $217,020 over the 42 month term of the Lease, as
amended. The renegotiation of the lease will allow the County to save approximately $16,600 over the term of the
Lease. (100% General Funds)
BACKGROUND:
This office has served as the office for the District 1 Supervisor since 1999. The office improvements were built
specifically for the District 1 Supervisor. The space continues to meet the requirements of the Supervisor’s office.
No County-owned facilities in West County were identified that would accommodate an office for the District 1
Supervisor.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the Lease Amendment is not approved, office space will have to be found elsewhere for the District 1
Supervisor’s office, likely at a greater expense.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not Applicable.
