HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07312012 - C.10RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Ordinance No. 2012-07 to exempt from the Merit System the newly established classifications of Executive Assistant I to the County Administrator-Exempt and Executive Assistant II to the County Administrator-Exempt, and delete the Executive Assistant to the County Administrator from the list of excluded classes in the Office of the County Administrator. FISCAL IMPACT: None. BACKGROUND: The Executive Assistant to the County Administrator-Exempt is a single position classification. The department has retitled the classification to Executive Assistant II to the County Administrator-Exempt and has added a lower level classification entitled Executive Assistant I to the County Administrator-Exempt. The newly created classification will be responsible for compiling the weekly Board of Supervisors Agenda. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The positions will not be able to perform confidential specialized duties for the County Administrator's Office.
