Subject:Confirm Fiscal Year 2012/2013 Annual Report for County Service Area T-1, Danville area.
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
and collect the annual assessments, and fixing June 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., in the Board Chambers, as the time
and place for a public hearing.
The proposed annual levy of assessments benefits all property owners within CSA T-1 (Public Transit District)
by providing transit services (miscellaneous extended service) in accordance with Government Code Section
25210.7.
The annual assessment rate for CSA T-1 is proposed to be increased based upon the prior year’s change in the
Consumer Price Index for the San Francisco Bay Area – All Urban Consumers, therefore it is within the allowable
maximum rate set when CSA T-1 was formed. The assessment rate will be increased from $357.86 to $368.60 per
Equivalent Dwelling Unit.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without Board of Supervisors approval, CSA T-1 would be unable to have the Fiscal Year 2012/2013
assessments collected by the County Tax Collector, and an alternate source of funding would have to be identified.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
