Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-403-2 with Robert Half International, Inc., a corporation, effective October 1,
2011, to amend Contract #23-403-1, to increase the total Contract Payment Limit by $250,000, from $1,000,000 to a
new total payment limit of $1,250,000, and to extend the term of the Contract from June 30, 2012 through December
31, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by the Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program of
the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
BACKGROUND:
On August 2, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-403-1 with Robert Half International, Inc., to
provide professional temporary staffing services to the Department’s Health Services Information Technology
Division, for the period from July 1, 2011

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)

Approval of Contract Amendment/Extension Agreement #23-403-2 will modify the Payment Provisions to
reimbursement Contractor for travel and conference expenses, and other out of pocket expenses, incurred on behalf
of County and to extend the term of the Contact to December 31, 2012.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, the Department will not be able to complete the implementation and support the EHR
project.
