HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06262012 - C.128RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Interim Director, or designee, to execute an Interagency Agreement with the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority in an amount not to exceed $1,758,923 to provide IHSS program services for the period July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: $1,758,923: $307,812 County Cost, 17.5%; - $1,451,111 administrative cost allocation in the FY 2012-13 IHSS Public Authority budget; $879,461 Federal, 50%; $571,650 State, 32.5%. BACKGROUND: The Board of Supervisors enacted Ordinance Number 98-14 on March 17, 1998, establishing the Contra Costa County In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority (“Public Authority”) as an independent public agency pursuant to California Welfare and Institutions Code section 12301.6. This dual relationship requires an agreement that establishes the respective obligations and responsibilities of the County and the Public Authority. This Board Order will authorize the execution of the 2012-2013 FY interagency agreement and will ensure the continuation of IHSS program services.
