HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06262012 - C.122RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74-190-12 with Mental Health Management I, Inc. (dba Canyon Manor), a corporation, effective April 1, 2012, to amend Novation Contract #74-190-11, to increase the payment limit by $38,016, from $99,828 to a new payment limit of $137,844, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, and to increase the automatic extension payment limit by $50,734, from $49,914 to a new payment limit of $100,648, with no change in the term of the automatic extension, through December 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: In December 2011, the County Administrator approved, and the Purchasing Services Manager executed, Novation Contract #74-190-11 with Mental Health Management I, Inc. (dba Canyon Manor) BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) extension through December 31, 2012, for the provision of mental health sub-acute care and treatment services. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74-190-12 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services through June 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not provide additional services to County residents requiring needed care.
