Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#26-668-6 with Asereth Medical Services, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $210,000, for provision of
temporary pharmacists and pharmacy technicians at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health
Centers, for the period from April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On April 5, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-668-3 (as amended by Contract Amendment
Agreements #26-668-4 and #26-668-5) with Asereth Medical Services, Inc. for the period from April 1, 2011
through March 31, 2012, for the provision of temporary pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to provide coverage
during peak loads, temporary absences and emergency situations.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Medical Center would not have appropriate pharmacist
coverage in the Pharmacy Department.
