HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06262012 - C.109RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Clerk-Recorder, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with DFM Associates, to increase the payment limit by $311,056 to continue providing software lease agreement for the election management system, and extend the term from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment does not increase the annual contract cost, which includes the ICR Data Entry Process subsystem. The annual cost is included in the department's 2012-13 budget, 100% General fund. BACKGROUND: Contra Costa has leased the DFM Associates EIMS system since 1981 to manage voter registration, precinct and district files. The system is used in 38 of 58 counties in California and integrates with the state's Cal Voter database, as required by federal law and state regulations. The county may not be able to process files to prepare for the 2012 Presidential General Election nomination and election period for 74 cities, schools and special districts.
