HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06262012 - C.96RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74-299-7 with Anka Behavioral Health, Inc., a non-profit corporation, effective June 1, 2012, to amend Contract #74-299-6, to increase the payment limit by $65,000, from $768,690 to a new payment limit of $833,690 with no change in the original term of July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, and to increase the automatic extension payment limit by $32,500, from $384,345 to a new payment limit of $416,845, for the original automatic extension period through December 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 49% by Federal Medi-Cal, 43% by State Mental Health Services Act (Prop 63) and 8% State Substance Abuse/Mental Health Services Grant. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) included an six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2012) for the provision of implementation of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA - Prop 63) Community Services and Supports Program. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74-299-7 will allow the Contractor to provide an additional level of services to include Behavioral Health Adult Court Collaborative Services through June 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, clients will have reduced access to residential, community living, socialization, vocational and Medi-Cal rehabilitative day treatment services they require.
