HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06262012 - C.56RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21107, to ADD one (1) Quality Management Program Coordinator (VRHA) position at salary level ZA5 1961 ($7,242-$8,803) and CANCEL a vacant Utilization Review Coordinator position (#7539) in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $2,572.62, with an annual increase of $292.00, and will be completely offset by Enterprise Funds. There is no net County cost associated with this request. BACKGROUND: The Health Services Department is requesting the addition of this position in order to meet the staffing needs of the Safety and Performance Improvement Program within the Hospital. This position will be responsible for managing the Professional Development Unit, which provides education and training to clinical staff in order to ensure compliance with program and regulatory standards and requirements. The Department has evaluated the duties assigned to this position and determined that this is the appropriate classification. The Utilization Review Coordinator position is vacant and is no longer needed. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the Safety and Performance Program will not be able to effectively manage the Professional Development Unit which is critical to ensure that our clinical staff meet program and regulatory standards and requirements.
