FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $41,826.86, including pension costs of $10,101, which is offset by a reduction in straight time overtime. BACKGROUND: As agreed upon by the Health Services Department and the California Nurses Association, permanent intermittent and permanent part-time employees who wish to have the hours of their positions increased up to a maximum of full-time must so request in writing during a thirty day period, which is offered twice a year. Approval criteria are based on the actual work hours of the employee over the past six months and the anticipated need for their assignment on an increased basis. Health Services has verified that this request meets both criteria. Therefore, the Health Services Department is requesting to increase the hours of one Registered Nurse-Experienced Level part-time position no. 10348 and the incumbent from 28/40 to 40/40.
