HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06262012 - C.43RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE Appropriations and Revenue Adjustment No. 5075 authorizing new revenue in the amount of $80,340 from the Office of Homeland Security and appropriating it for underwater detection equipment as authorized by the 2010 Port Security Grant. FISCAL IMPACT: This action increases revenue and appropriations by $80,340. There is no change in net county cost. BACKGROUND: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security selected the Marine Exchange of the San Francisco Bay Region (SFMX) to serve as the regional fiscal agent for the 2010 Port Security Program. As a sub-grantee, the Sheriff's Office intends to use 2010 Port Security Grant funding to purchase equipment and pay for maintenance to further enhance security deterrence capabilities established with the 2006 and 2007 Port Security Grants.
