HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06262012 - C.41RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. 5078 authorizing new revenue in the amount of $43,143 from accumulated depreciation and estimated salvage in Conservation and Development (0280) and appropriate it for the purchase of two vehicles. FISCAL IMPACT: The Building Inspection Division of the Department of Conservation & Development is replacing two Non-ISF Fleet vehicles for an estimated total of $43,143. The purchase will be funded with the accumulated depreciation from Units #5034, #5221, and #5048, of $40,543, and estimated salvage of $2,600. BACKGROUND: The Building Inspection Division of Conservation and Development is responsible for providing building inspections throughout the County for Constructions, Permitting, and Code Enforcement. The division is in need of replacing two Non-ISF Fleet vehicles that have high mileage and meet the standards for replacement. Equipment #5034 is a 2002 Ford Ranger Pick-up with 105,455 miles and has been fully depreciated. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the Building Inspection Division will not be able to fully provide services throughout the County due to decreased productivity and increased response times.
