FISCAL IMPACT: This action will reverse Appropriation Adjustment No. 5020 by reducing appropriations to General Services-Fleet Operations (0063) and increasing appropriations to the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector (0015) by $21,720. This action then appropriates $21,720 from the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector (0015) to the Fleet ISF (0064) for the purchase of the additional ISF vehicle. The purchase of the vehicle eliminated the need for a rental vehicle for the Collection Deputies in the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector. ATTESTED: June 26, 2012 David Twa, County Administrator and Clerk of the Board of Supervisors By: Carrie Del Bonta, Deputy cc: GSD Fiscal, PW Fiscal, Treasurer-Tax Collector Fiscal, Auditor Controller, CAO Analyst, GSD Admin, Fleet Manager C. 39 To:Board of Supervisors From:Julia R. Bueren, Public Works Director Date:June 26, 2012 Contra Costa County Subject:Appropriation Adjustment To Correct Prior Appropriation For Purchase of One Additional ISF Vehicle For The Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector BACKGROUND: The Collection Deputies with the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector spend approximately 25 hours in the field weekly collecting various taxes. Without a vehicle, the Collection Deputies are required to use the Fleet pool car rentals. On November, 15, 2011 the Board approved the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector to transfer appropriations to General Services-Fleet Operations for the purchase of one additional vehicle. The vehicle is an addition to the ISF Fleet Services (0064). The approved appropriation, Number 5020, appropriated funds to the General Fund Fleet Services (0063) in error. The purchase of this vehicle, Equipment No. 1041, was correctly charged to the ISF Fleet Services. To provide funding to the ISF Fleet Services (0064) for the purchase of the additional vehicle for use by the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector, Appropriation Adjustment No. 5020, must be reversed and funds appropriated from the Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector (0015) to ISF Fleet Services (0064) in the amount of $21,720. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this request is not approved, ISF Fleet Services will incur the expense of the purchase of the new vehicle and the appropriations will remain in the wrong fund and org. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable. ATTACHMENTS TC24-27_5077
