Subject:Reappoint Teresa Pasquini to the District 1 Family Seat on the Mental Health Commission
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
and special problems; to review any County agreements entered into pursuant to Section 5650 of the Welfare and
Institutions Code; to advise the governing body and local mental health director as to any aspect of the local mental
health program; to submit an annual report to the Board of Supervisors; review and make recommendations
regarding the appointment of a local director of mental health services; review the County's performance outcome
data and communicate its findings to the State Mental Health Commission; and assess the impact of the realignment
of services from the State to the County on services delivered to clients and the local community.
Ms. Pasquini has successfully served as the District 1 Family Member on the Mental Health Commission and
Supervisor Gioia supports her interest in serving another term. The current term ends on 6/30/12.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seat will become vacant.
