HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06262012 - C.08RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution No. 2012/278 approving and authorizing the recommendation of the Public Works Director, or designee, for allocating the Transportation Development Act (TDA), Article 3 Funds totaling $1,070,182 for bicycle and pedestrian projects for Fiscal Year 2012/2013 and DIRECT the Public Works Director, or designee, to forward the list to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for final approval and allocation of funding effective July 1, 1012. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 Funds BACKGROUND: Article 3 of the Transportation Development Act (TDA ), Public Utilities Code (PUC) Section 99200 et seq., authorizes the submission of claims to a regional transportation planning agency for the funding of projects exclusively for the benefit and/or use of pedestrians and bicyclists. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Failure to approve the recommendation and forward the list will eliminate a potential funding source. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
