HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06052012 - C.95RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #24–259–52 with Center for Human Development, a non-profit corporation, effective March 1, 2012, to amend Contract #24–259–51, to increase the payment limit by $44,868, from $506,000 to a new payment limit of $550,868, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Amendment is funded 100% by Federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Primary Prevention. BACKGROUND: On September 13, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24–259–51 with the Center for Human Development for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012 (which included a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2012), for the provision of substance abuse primary prevention services. County requested and Contractor agreed to provide additional services in order to continue the program through June 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Contractor will not be paid for additional services agreed upon by both parties. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: his program supports the following Board of Supervisors’ community outcomes: “Children Ready For and Succeeding in School”; “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing”; and “Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families”. Expected program outcomes include an increase in positive social and emotional development as measured by the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS).
