Subject:Amendment #26-641-9 with Advanced Medical Personnel Services, Inc.
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Due to the inability to recruit and retain a sufficient number of County-employed physical and occupational
therapists, the resignation of one speech pathologist and additional therapists needed to assist with the EPIC Project,
Contra Costa Regional Medical Center has had to rely heavily on this registry to provide necessary services.
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-641-9 will allow the Contractor to provide additional temporary
therapy services, through June 30, 2012.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers would not have
sufficient number of occupational, physical and speech therapist to treat patients.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
