HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06052012 - C.86RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-964-10 with V. Arek Keledjian, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $115,200, to provide professional endoscopy and internal medicine services for patients at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. Cost to the County depends upon utilization. As appropriate, patients and/or third party payors will be billed for services. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On June 2, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-964-8 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-964-9) with V. Arek Keledjian, M.D., for the period from June 1, 2009 through May 31, 2012, to provide endoscopy and internal medicine services, including therapeutic endoscopic procedures, at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, patients requiring these medical services at Contra Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers would have longer wait times and possibly go untreated.
