HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06052012 - C.81RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27-599-11 with Paladin Managed Care Services, Inc. (formerly Total Healthcare Management, Inc.), a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $500,000, to provide claims processing and negotiation services for the Contra Costa Health Plan for the period from June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This is a contingency fee contract. Contractor receives a percentage of the savings received from their actions. BACKGROUND: On May 26, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-599-10 with Total Healthcare Management, Inc. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) from out-of-network medical providers. Approval of Contract #27-599-11 will allow Contractor to continue providing services from June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2014. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, Contra Costa Health Plan will not have access to Contractor’s negotiation, claims processing and price factoring services.
