Subject:Amend contract with Language Line Services, Inc., for Interpretation and Translation Services
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
to provide telephone interpretation, on-site interpretation, and document translation services to non-English speaking
recipients of the Employment and Human Services Department's services. In compliance with State and Federal
regulations, interpretation services will be made available via telephone translation and in-person on-site translation
services. Document translation services will also be provided for a document requiring translation into English or into
a client's native language. Due to the increased demand for translation services provided through the Employment
and Human Services Department, this amendment is to increase the contract payment limit.

The Employment and Human Services Department will be unable to pay for services provided.
