HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06052012 - C..10RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE the Parker Avenue Reconstruction project contingency fund increase of $26,881.04 for a new
contingency fund total of $756,830.80, and a new payment limit of $6,856,328.35, effective June 5, 2012, Rodeo
area. Project No. 0662-6R4215-02
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $26,881.04 increase in contingency funds will be funded by previously committed Redevelopment funds and
monies recovered from third parties due to vehicle damage to the project improvements.
BACKGROUND:
The Contractor, Bay Cities Paving and Grading, Inc., is under a five year contract to maintain the landscape
improvements installed with the original project construction in 2007, including payment of power and water bills.
The cost of the power and water bills has exceeded the estimated amounts and those costs will exceed the balance
remaining in the project contingency fund. The requested increase of $26,881.04 will cover the costs of the power
and water bills for the duration of the contract, which expires in May 2013.
