Subject:Prohibit parking for certain vehicles on roadways within the Alamo Creek Subdivision, District III
BACKGROUND:
The Homeowners Association (HOA) has requested restrictions be placed on large vehicles parking along the
neighborhood roadways. Public Works has considered this request and in accordance with Section 22507 of the
California Vehicle Code, recommends the Traffic Resolution restricting large vehicles from parking on these
roadways be approved. Restricting the parking of large vehicles will improve sight lines for vehicles at private
driveways and at intersections of public roads. Any signs notifying drivers of these restrictions will be obtained,
placed, and maintained by the HOA.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Large vehicles will continue to park in the neighborhood and the local authorities’ power to enforce the California
Vehicle Code will be limited.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
