HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07102012 - C.105RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Department of Conservation and Development Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with Sasaki Associates, Inc., to extend the term from June 30, 2012 to December 31, 2012, without change to the payment limit of $105,000, to complete the Wayfinding Sign Program for the Contra Costa Centre Area. FISCAL IMPACT: None to the General Fund. The contractual amount is included in the Recognized Obligations Payment Schedule approved on May 22, 2012, by the Board of Supervisors acting as the governing Board of the Successor Agency and by the Oversight Board. BACKGROUND: The County of Contra Costa in its capacity as Successor Agency to the Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency is in the process of building improvements to the former Contra Costa Centre Redevelopment Area, including a new residential/mixed use transit village at the Pleasant Hill BART Station referred to as “Avalon Walnut Creek”. The project for which Sasaki Associates, Inc. The wayfinding sign project is currently entering the construction phase. The proposed extension of this contract will allow the Contractor to advise the County on construction issues as appropriate. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The wayfinding sign program for the Contra Costa Centre Area would not be completed. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: No impact. ATTACHMENTS Sasaki Ext. 6-12
