HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07102012 - C.83RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chief Information Officer, or designee, to execute a contract with Sirius Computer
Solutions, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $140,000, to provide mainframe repair services as needed by the
Department of Information Technology, for the period of June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2013 (100% User Fees).
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approximately $140,000 as budgeted under Fiscal Year 2012/2013, Org 1060
BACKGROUND:
The Mainframe Computer is currently experiencing an intermittent User Catalog corruption which temporarily
interrupts daily production for several hours at a time. The interruptions have occurred at random intervals 3 times
calendar year to date. Due to the intermittent nature and the level of technical skill required to resolve this issue,
DOIT is requesting approval of a onetime contract with Sirius mainframe support services. The resolution is expected
to require 6-12 months.
